Dr. Dayanara (“Dr. Day”) Thompson’s interest in Holistic Wellness began when she was studying physiology and health sciences at California State University, East Bay. Following her passion for helping others, she worked as an Emergency Medical Technician for the City of Oakland, CA, learning how to deal with crisis and trauma calmly and deeply compassionately.
Her years of experience were personally put to the test during her sophomore year at university when Dr. Day was involved in a serious accident, leaving her unable to use her left leg from the knee down. This injury inspired her to find various ways to heal her systems from within and from without, with help and with her own natural healing abilities.
She combined spinal rehabilitation, energy medicine (NET/Reiki), and chiropractic treatments with her own expanding knowledge of self-care and made an intense and transformative rehabilitation, able to continue to thrive throughout her life. This personal and professional experience fueled her passion for becoming a chiropractor herself, with the singular goal of helping her patients undergo their own life-changing transformation, their personal evolution.
Calm, attentive, and nourishing, Dr. Day provides medium to deep manual care combining soft tissue techniques, chiropractic adjustments, NET/Reiki/energy medicine, sonic healing, yogic healing, somatic release, and more. Allow her to guide you on your wellness journey.

There is a profound alchemy that occurs when all the seeming hurts transform into growth. At a breaking point we are forced to choose between our old patterns and the change. Depending on our level of awareness and will to change, our energy is allowed to shift. This shift can start on the bodyworker’s table or in collaborative coaching, but the shift is fully processed in life. My own personal growth fuels my belief and confidence in the process and my own personal dharma as a healer.
I have a BFA in Theatre from Sam Houston State University. I began my somatic facilitator journey in Chicago and graduated from the New School of Massage, Bodywork, and Healing in 2012 and have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since. Moving from Chicago to Los Angeles in 2016, I now have my California certification. I have attended Continuing Education classes with the Upledger Institute for CranioSacral 1 and CranioSacral 2 as well as Lymphatic Balancing. In 2018, I graduated from a Feldenrkais training with Paul Rubin and Julie Casson. In 2022, after years of personal somatic embodiment work and training, I have added somatic coaching as an offering.
I believe that we all experience life from our point of view, and because that view guides our experience, only you can truly lead your life. As a coach, I wish to hold a safe space, focus on goals, and offer somatic practices to develop the needed conditions for transformation.
